Abstract

This study aims to develop an online class analysis checklist based on a universal design for learning(UDL). To this end, an online class analysis checklist based on UDL was written based on the UDL-based class and digital textbook analysis criteria and general subject class analysis criteria proposed through previous studies. After grasping the feasibility of the questions through a review of previous studies, the questions that were not feasible in terms of online class production and progress were deleted. In the area of providing various methods of means for representation, questions about the size adjustment of visual data, speed or size adjustment of language data, etc. were deleted. In the area of providing various ways of means for behavior and expression, questions related to the control of the physical environment or the provision of tools were deleted when expressing learning contents or results. In addition, the content of questions related to verbal interaction or the provision of additional educational content was modified. Finally, in the area of providing various ways of means for participation, questions related to providing feedback suitable for individual difficulties, emotions, and motives were deleted. As a result of the study, the online class analysis tool of this study consisted of three areas and 31 items. Specifically, the items in the information provision area items using various information presentation methods consisted of 12 items. In addition, the questions in the area of providing various actions and means of expression consisted of 11 items. Finally, the questions in the area of providing various learning participation methods consisted of 8 items. specific examples were prepared for all items. The results of these studies are meaningful in that they provided practical guidelines to help produce online content available in the school field or select good online content. Furthermore, if field application research of finding and elaborating complementary points is added so that field education experts can apply the universal learning design-based online class analysis tool developed in this study, in reality, it is expected to help provide meaningful online class content to all learners.
