Abstract

In 1920's Manchuria Korean community was faced with crucial changes. The failure of both diplomacy and struggle in arms made nationalists leading Manchuria Korean community think over new ways and ideology for struggle. Rapidly increasing voice of youth-students, farmers and women encouraged these changes easily and quickly. And socialism which was admitted by pioneering Korean leaders drove these changes to systematic movement. The pioneering Korean socialists took the leadership in the new movement. And this movement fitted with Chinese revolutionary movement. It made Korean socialists join the Chinese Community Party and participate in the Chinese communist revolution. Because the Korean socialists had to hold their belief that there are only one Community Party in one country. The change of movement was not caused by just change of thought. Rather the first reason was the rise of immigrant's second generation who had the concept of extended Chosun existing in the movement group for a long time and who took immigrant's desire for existence. And the second was the change of generations in the movement. Autonomism insisted from the first stage of immigration by immigrants and their persistence on it showed well the difference with both the Korean community and the motto, 'the independence' claimed by the national groups. It is not right attitude for students to overlook the movement done by only a few. A lot of Korean immigrants hoped to leave Manchuria and devoted themselves to the Chinese Communist Revolution after Chosun gained an independence. And they have been living there and thinking there as their site. These facts are enough for students to review established views. In other words, it needs to think that a historical view on nationalism can't involve all historical accidents and value.
