야스쿠니 신사참배 논란과 동아시아 근대사 인식

Abstract

The interest in Yasukuni temple has been higher than ever in each east-asian country. Especially, in Korea, Yasukuni temple is recognized as a symbol of the resurrection of Japanese militarism, related with the problems of history textbook distortion and Dokdo ownership. The Yasukuni problem makes a fire on the historical debate between korea and Japan. Yasukuni is not limited to the problem of just prime minister's paying homage to the temple, and also Yasukuni problem can not be solved as only a new memorial facility construction. Because Yasukuni should be related to the problems how to define Japanese invading war history and how to evaluate sixty-years history after war. Homage to Yasukuni temple has been paid by Japanese right wing politicians tacitly, it will be expected to continue from now on. The dividing burial of A-grade war criminals and a debate of Yasukuni temple's special law personification, which Japanese right wing politicians are presenting for the purpose of avoiding critical judgments from many asian countries, are dangerous also. Because Yasukuni temple, as a facility of symbolizing Japanese invasion to the east asia, is the place where not only Japanese military soldiers and their family but also 20,000 people from Korea were buried together. If A-grade war criminals would be buried separately, or a new memotrial facility would be constructed, it only gives Japanese prime minister or emperor an formal and legal cause to pay homage to the place. The ultimate goal of right politicians who intend to resurrect Yasukuni spirit is to emphasize the national defence and the enforcement of self-defending army's status to Japanese people. Distorted Japanese historical ideology and people's emotional consensus to it will be connected to the Japanese conservatism and military reconstruction definitely. Yasukuni will be related with the resurrection of Japanese militarism.
