수목원 유형별 이용객 선호 이미지 분석: 물향기수목원 ․ 아침고요수목원 ․ 한택식물원을 대상으로

Abstract

This study ascertained factors influencing preference to arboretum classified according to plants display types and also, analyzed the correlation between arboretum types and preference factors. Findings of this study are as follows. The first, ‘plants display types’ had great influences on the preference to arboretum. The second, The analysis of the image of arboretum showed that the negative image adjectives scale were high for arbor type arboretum and garden type arboretum, the mixed dispays of the arbor type arboretum and the garden type arboretum were ranked in the middle of the positive image adjectives scale. The third, it was found out that the four factors of the aesthetic characteristics, the diversity, the naturalness and the spatiality were influencing the preferences. The fourth, ‘aesthetic characteristics' and ‘diversity' among the four preference factors had the greatest influences on the preference to arboretum. The fifth, the preferences to the arboretum types were different due to the differences of ‘gender’, ‘age’ and ‘plant display types’. Finally, this study recommend that arboretum should be the place of culture that citizens need and meets the social changes of arboretum preferences in order to grow qualitatively.
