The aim of this study is to examine the usage patterns of the synonyms of English adverbs marking the temporal continuity and to determine the semantic category of the adjectives and verbs which are collocated with these adverbs. The frequency of the collocation ‘adverb+verb’ is higher than that of the collocation ‘adverb+adjective’, which means that English native speakers use these adverbs collocated with verbs more often than those with adjectives. The semantics of the adjectives are ‘change’, ‘assessment’, ‘emotion’, ‘property’, and ‘stativity’. The semantics of the verbs are ‘assessment’, ‘movement’, ‘change’, and ‘creation’. This is expected that the results of the usage patterns of the adverb synonyms in this study can contribute to enhancing the collocation competence of learners.
