Abstract
This paper aims to compare the Korean reflexive pronouns {caki} and the Chinese reflexive expressions {ziji}, clarify the differences, and suggest a teaching method. For this purpose, the meanings and the grammatical features in many contexts such as questions were examined and analyzed. It is shown that though the Korean reflexive pronouns {caki} and the Chinese reflexive expressions {ziji} share the same Chinese character letters in spelling, they have big differences. For example, in terms of a grammatical feature, all Korean reflexive pronouns {caki} have a person restriction. By reflexive pronouns’ {caki} exclusion of the role of a determiner situation, there should be an anticipatory subject in front of the third person in the use of reflection. Also, {caki} is used to refer to human beings only, not inhuman things.
