Abstract
In diesem Aufsatz habe ich den Versuch unternommen, die Hypothese der Prototypentheorie anhand semantischer Aspekte zu diskutieren. Dafür wurden zuerst die wichtigen Charakteristika der zwei Modelle, des traditionellen Modells und des Prototypenmodells, kritisch überprüft. Danach wurde das Prototypenmodell im Rahmen der drei Kern-Begriffe Prototypen-Konzept, Prototypen-Eigenschaften und Protototypen-Schema nochmals ausführlich behandelt. In einem weiteren Schritt wurde dann das Programm <Unsere Beste> der ZDF (Okt.-Nov. 2003) aufgrund der Prototypentheorie analysiert, um eine realistische Anwendungsmöglichkeit des Prototypenmodells aufzuzeigen. Anschließend wurde seine weitere Anwendungsmöglichkeit für den Unterricht im Fach “Deutsche Landeskunde”: <Understanding of German Culture> vorgestellt. Obwohl die Prototypentheorie es noch nicht geschafft hat, die verdienstvollerweise von ihr entdeckten Prototypenphänomene in einem einheitlichen Semantikrahmen zu erklären, hat der vorliegende Aufsatz als Resultat doch gezeigt, dass sie teilweise Vorschläge zur Lösung einiger Probleme des traditionellen Modells der Kategorisierung liefern kann, womit sie einen idealen Ausgangspunkt für weitere Forschungen bietet.
