Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to elucidate Whitehead's Philosophy in light of the process and change. According to the current interpretation of Whitehead he was a process philosopher. It is clear that actual entities are the ground for all other entities in Whitehead' philosophy. 'Actual entities' are said to be the real things of which the world is made. One of the remarkable peculiarities of actual entities is constant flux. The actual entities are, in their nature, process. According to Whitehead, the becoming is that of actual entities. Therefore the process is the 'process of becoming' of actual entities. It means that these processes of becoming are a certain function of effecting the transition. Further, this function is that of actual entities, so actual entities must be regarded as a process of function. In this sense, they are processes, and they are changes. But, as soon as actual entities complete the process of becoming, they cease to come into existence; namely they perish at the moment of completion. Thus they repeat the becoming and the perishing continuously. This repetition of the becoming and the perishing is a sort of change. The fundamental feature of metaphysics, for Whitehead, is the process and change.
