이 글은 레비나스의 사랑(에로스)론에 대해 연구한다. 레비나스의 에로스는 남녀사이의 사랑을 대상으로 한다. 그는 관능적인 향유의 에로스뿐만 아니라 관계로서의 에로스, 타자로 향해 있는 에로스의 의미를 논구한다. 그리고 자아에로 환원될 수 없는 타자의 타자성이 보존되는 인간관계의 전형을 보여주고자 한다. 그의 에로스에 관한 조망은 우리에게 사랑의 지혜를 전해준다. 사랑은 소유나 정복이 아니며, 그런 곳에 사랑은 깃들지 않는다. 또한 연인 사이의 애무는 촉각적 행위이지만 잡히지 않는 것을 잡으려는 몸짓으로 감각을 초월한 형이상학적 의미를 지닌다. 관능적 사랑을 함축하는 애인 사이의 에로스적 관계가 타인들에 대해 배타성을 지니지만 이것이 사회성의 결여를 함의하는 것은 아니다. 연인들 사이의 감각과 지각의 사회성은 감각의 공명을 불러일으키는 상호주체성을 지닌다. 그럼에도 불구하고 연인들이 합일되는 것은 아니며 연인의 타자성은 신비로서 보존되며, 연인사이의 이원성이 유지된다. 또한 에로스적 관계로부터 생산되는 아이의 출산은 주체의 기획이나 주도성을 벗어나며, 아이는 절대적 간격을 가로질러 주체에게로 미래를 가져다준다.
Abstract
This study shows Levinas' eros. Levinas explains eros as a kind of love between man and women. He articulates not only sensual eros of enjoyment but also eros as relationship, the meaning of eros to the other. In the relationship of eros, he tries to show the archetype of human relationship which is reserved the alterity of the other. His view of eros deliver the wisdom of love to us. Eros is neither possession nor conquest. In such a relationship, eros can't dwell in. The caress between a pair of lovers is a kind of tactual behavior but we can't grasp something. As the gesture to the absence, it has the metaphysical meaning which transcend physical sense. The erotic relationship which contains sensual love demonstrates exclusiveness to the other. But it does not mean the lack of sociality. The sociality of sense and sensation between lovers has the inter- subjectivity which feel resonance. Nonetheless, the lovers can't be united. They are reserved the alterity of beloved as mystery and maintained the duality between themselves. The fecundity from erotic relationship transcends the project and initiative of subject. Furthermore, the children have future deliver to subject across the absolute distance.
