주역 음양 관계론의 정합성 문제: 陰陽對待와 扶陽抑陰의 논리적 상충 문제를 중심으로

Abstract

Yin-Yang is one of the fundamental Chinese philosophical ideologies that greatly influenced on the societies and cultures of East Asia. Yin-Yang in Zhouyi has developed through several complicated stages. Although the concept of Yin-Yang is not directly mentioned on I Ching(易經), it can be said that I Ching includes Yin-Yang considering the composition or arrangement of 64 hexagrams. On YiZuan(易傳), the philosophy of Yin-Yang has been completely established with composing the category system of Yin-Yang encompassing space time and the universe, passing through the sky, the earth, and humans. When all diverse creation of the world is categorized into two simple categories called Yin-Yang and all concepts of all concepts of existence, values, facts, and ought are encompassed together, however, the Yin-Yang relation got into confusion. From the perspective of the anxiology, Yin and Yang was compared with good and evil or right and wrong and derived the normative interpretation of Nurturing Yang and Suppressing Yin. The philosophy of Nurturing Yang and Suppressing Yin and the Mutual correlation between Yin and Yang theory indicating that Yin and Yang are opposite but need each other collided together and caused confusion.周易With regard to this problem, Zhuxi (朱熹) tried to arrange Yin-yang Duidai(對待) and the theory of Nurturing Yang and Suppressing Yin as a twofold relation that distinguishes the substantiality from phenomena and nature from humans. The reason why such logical problem occurs is not because of misunderstanding of later generations but because of the word ‘Zhouyi’ itself, because lots of ideas were mixed together for Zhouyi during the long-term compilation. In addition, the diversity of the elements of Yin-Yang cannot be unified because its connotation is too small whereas its denotation is infinitely wide.
