This article introduces the Sectoral Qualification Framework(SQF) system and how to utilize in hotel industry. It covers an overall review of the SQF from its background, purpose and current development status. This article also tries to find out how to effectively utilize SQF when dealing with practical issues. In order to pursue the purpose of this study, group interview has been conducted with two experts from the hotel operation fields and four professors who have participated in National Competency System(NCS) development. Based on an analysis of the interview, revising current NCS of hotel sector, creating new NCS for GM level and successful activation of OJT program have been suggested as a guideline and some practical ideas for a more effective qualification system has been introduced.
