일본의 외국인직접투자에 대한 연구 -증가요인과 향후 과제를 중심으로-

Abstract

The purpose of the present study is to analyse the causes for the recent increase in foreign direct investments in Japan and to look into possible future projects. The main reason for the increase is found to be the aggressive alleviation of the related rules. Also it is understood that the escalating strategy that promoted, accelerated and ultimately expanded the foreign direct investment appealed attractively to the foreign companies. Furthermore, the enlarged roles of foreign companies due to changes of business environment for the Japanese companies was another important factor to the rise of foreign direct investment. However, while the augmentation of the investment signifies the improvement of investment environment in Japan, a research on Korean companies actually operating in Japan demonstrates that it does still have a few problems such as recruiting qualified workers. In conclusion, in order to promote more foreign direct investment as eagerly intended by the Japanese government, the issues concerning government supply, requirement, validation and customs clearance must be resolved.
