초록
The “Eight Scenic Spots”, a term rooted in ancient Chinese geographical and cultural traditions, represents curated collections of natural landscapes that embody unique regional characteristics and historical depth. Emerging as a cultural phenomenon, the “Eight Scenic Spots Culture” has evolved into a cornerstone of Chinese traditional culture, tracing its origins to the Wei, Jin, and Northern and Southern Dynasties, flourishing during the Song Dynasty. This cultural tradition masterfully integrates natural aesthetics with humanistic symbolism, crystallizing into distinctive regional cultural symbols. Landscape literature, centered on natural themes, employs nuanced prose and emotional resonance to express admiration for scenic beauty. Its forms span poetry, essays, paintings, local chronicles, and anecdotal records, transcending mere artistic representation of landscapes to mirror the spiritual world of literati and scholars. The symbiotic relationship between the “Eight Scenic Spots Culture” and landscape literature has forged a culturally and aesthetically rich tradition. The former provides fertile ground for literary creation, infusing works with poetic inspiration, while the latter elevates regional landscapes through artistic dissemination, broadening public appreciation and perpetuating cultural values. This dynamic interaction reveals a communication framework: from imperial landscape designation to literati poetic dissemination, and modern tourism-driven media promotion, evolving communication methods have reshaped cultural expressions. This study employs communication theory to analyze the aesthetic contributions of the “Eight Scenic Spots Culture” to landscape literature and the pathways through which literary works propagate these cultural landscapes. By examining their interplay in cultural encoding, media carriers, and audience reception, the research aims to uncover underlying communication logics. Drawing on historical patterns and contemporary case studies, it seeks to offer innovative strategies for preserving and revitalizing these cultural heritages in modern contexts, thereby contributing to academic discourse on cultural transmission.
