This study focuses on the avant-garde experiment of technology based dance performance and discusses it by Jean-François Lyotard’s Sublime. Convergence performance pursues the aesthetics of the sublime, destroying the classical rules and customs of dance and focusing on visualizing invisible. Furthermore, it causes the audience to shock the uniformity of thought and to discover new rules, to escape the mechanical thinking pursued by modern society. The audience feels uncomfortable failing to understand the work at a glance, but by continuing the non-regulation, they finally experience the sublime by cracking the mechanical thinking and strengthening the thinking ability.
