여가관여도와 장소귀속감의 관계: 이용경험기록의 조절효과 검증

초록

본 연구는 경기도 가평 지역을 방문 중인 수상레저스포츠 참여자를 대상으로 그들의 여가관여도와 장소귀속감의 관계를 분석하였으며, 이러한 관계에 방문자의 이용경험기록(Experience Use History)이 조절효과를 나타내는지 검증하였다. 이를 위하여 수상레저스포츠 참여자에게 설문조사를 실시하여 462명의 응답 자료를 최종분석에 사용하였다. 수상레저스포츠 참여자들의 여가관여도 하위 요인 중 매력성, 중심성, 사회성 요인이 장소귀속감의 모든 하위요인에 긍정적 영향을 미치고 있었다. 또한 Lisrel 8.70을 이용하여 공변량구조분석(covariance structure analysis)을 실시한 결과, 이용경험기록은 여가관여도와 장소귀속감의 관계에 조절효과를 가지고 있었으며, 이에 따라 이용경험기록이 더 많은 집단의 경우 적은 집단에 비하여 여가관여도의 매력성과 중심성이 장소귀속감의 하위요인에 통계적으로 더 강한 영향력을 나타내었다. 본 연구를 통하여 여가활동에 대한 관여도가 장소귀속감을 발전시키는 데 주요 선행변인이 될 수 있음을 밝혀냈으며, 여가활동 장소에 대한 지속적 방문이 그 관계를 더욱 강화시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between leisure involvement and place attachment among water-based recreation participants. The authors have collected data from 462 water sports participants who visited water sports places in Gapyeong, Kyunggido, Korea. We hypothesized that there are positive relationships between the dimensions of leisure involvement (i.e., attraction, centrality, social bonding, identity affirmation, identity expression) and place attachment (i.e., place identity, place dependence, affective attachment, place social bonding). Also, we tested whether Experience Use History(EUH) moderates these relationships. The results showed that there were positive relationships between the three dimensions of leisure involvement (i.e., attraction, centrality, social bonding) and the all dimensions of place attachment. In addition, there was a moderating effect of EUH on the hypothesized relationships. Compared to the people who have shorter experience use history to the water recreation place, leisure involvement had much stronger impacts on the dimensions of place attachment for those who have longer history with the place.
