The purpose of this study is to verify the discriminant function items of open tendency test instrument applied to college dance major. The sub jects were applied the convenience sampling method among the non - probability sampling methods and analyzed a total of 420 samples. Data processing was analyzed using IBM SPSS 21.0, winstep 3.65 program. The results of the study are as follows. First, 8 items of discriminant function according to gender (male, female) of college dance major were extracted. Second, the openness measurement instrument was extracted from one of the discrimination function items according to the grade (lower grade, upper grade) of college dance major. Third, openness meas ures were extracted 10 items of differentiating function according to ma jor (dance, ballet), (ballet, modern dance), (modern dance, Korean dance) major of college dance major.
