본 연구는 공연예술 중 전통무용공연의 활성화를 위해 관객의 반복 관람인 'N차관람'을 유도할 수 있는 구체적인 시스템과 현실적인 방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 관객의 문화 향유 방식이 수동적 소비에서 능동적 참여로 전환되고 있는 현시점에서, N차 관람은 공연예술의 대중화를 촉진하는 전략으로 작용할 수 있다. 특히 대중화가 미흡한 전통무용공연에서 N차 관람은 공연시장 확대와 예술 생태계 조성에기여할 수 있는 문화현상이다. 본 연구는 문헌조사와 사례분석을 통해 전통무용공연의 N차 관람을 유도할 수 있는 세 가지 전략을 도출하였다. 첫째, 진입장벽을 낮춘대중성 중심의 공연 기획. 둘째, 팬덤 형성을 통한 마니아 관객 확보. 셋째, 공감을 유도하는 렉처 퍼포먼스 기획이다. 이 방안들은 관객의 흥미와 이해도를 증진시켜 반복관람을 유도하고, 전통무용공연의 대중성과 예술성을 동시에 확장하는 데 기여할 수있다. 본 연구는 전통무용공연에 활기를 불어넣고, 전통무용 시장의 성장 가능성과예술인의 지속 가능한 활동 기반 마련에 이바지할 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find a concrete system and practical plan that can induce 'Nth viewing', which is a repetitive viewing of the audience, in order to revitalize traditional dance performances among performing arts. At the pres- ent time when the audience's method of enjoying culture is shifting from pas- sive consumption to active participation, Nth viewing can act as a strategy to promote the popularization of performing arts. In particular, in traditional dance performances that are insufficiently popularized, Nth viewing is a cul- tural phenomenon that can contribute to the expansion of the performance mar- ket and the creation of an art ecosystem. This study derives three strategies that can induce Nth viewing of traditional dance performances through liter- ature research and case analysis. First, performance planning centered on popu- larity that lowered the barrier to entry. Second, securing enthusiastic audiences through fandom formation. Third, it is a theater performance planning that in- duces empathy. These measures can increase the interest and understanding of the audience to induce repetitive viewing and contribute to simultaneously ex- panding the popularity and artistry of traditional dance performances. This study is expected to revitalize traditional dance performances, contribute to the growth potential of the traditional dance market, and laying the foundation for sustainable activities of artists.
