초록
This study examines the poetics of José Martí as articulated in Versos Sencillos, focusing on his profound reverence for nature, ecological consciousness, and the interconnectedness of nature, humanity, and society. Martí regarded the beauty of nature as a vital source of spiritual and moral growth. He argued that engagement with the natural world fosters selfexploration and strengthens the pursuit of social justice and equality. His poetry embodies ideals of human freedom, love, and the restoration of nature’s intrinsic value, with Versos Sencillos intimately connected to nature in both form and content. Martí’s work emphasizes the imperative for humanity to learn from nature by cultivating wisdom, restraint, purification, and inner peace. This paper further explores his ecological and cultural vision, his prophetic insights into environmental crises, and the dynamic interplay between humans, nature, and society, highlighting broader implications for the human condition.
