Abstract
We have developed a high-resolution multichannel seismic data acquisition system and a shallow marine seismic source. Our source system is easy to operate and handle, because we use piezoelectric transducer of high electrical power. The number of transducers in our source system can be easily determined to maximize field applicability according to water depth, survey condition and purpose. For the recording system, we used 24 bits and 8 channel high speed A/D board. Therefore, we could achieve the improvement of data quality and the efficiency of data acquisition. We tested our developed system by changing data acquisition parameters such as source-receiver arrangement, offset, and the number of the transducer. We decided an optimal data acquisition parameter by comparing several acquired seismic data with each other. We applied predictive deconvolution, swell filtering, and band-pass filtering technique to the obtained seismic data, thereby improving the data quality and image resolution
