Abstract

Based on the current climate system, governments worldwide are strengthening climate policy and expanding related regulations. Accordingly, global oil and gas companies have invested in new and renewable energy projects to cope with the climate crisis and secure new growth engines in the post-Corona era. Similarly, domestic oil and gas companies are increasingly required to establish strategies for expanding new and renewable energy businesses, which require an understanding of business trends based on global markets and business cases. Although European and American companies have different business sizes owing to differences in responses to climate change and government policies, they have expanded their business areas using various methods in common. However, the new and renewable energy sectors in domestic companies have not yet advanced. Therefore, continuous efforts must be made to gain technological knowledge and experience to emerge as a global market in the future.
