교육 실습을 통한 중등 예비 교사들의 개인적 교수효능감과 결과기대감의 변화

초록

본 연구의 목적은 교사양성과정 중 교육실습 동안 중등예비교사들의 개인적 교수효능감과 결과기대감이 어떻게 변화되었는지를 양적 및 질적 방법으로 조사하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 교육실습을 수강한 4학년 예비교사 69명에게 개인적 교수효능감과 결과기대감을 조사할 수 있는 설문도구를 가지고 3월 초와 5월 중순에 조사하였고, 교육실습 전과 후의 개인적 교수효능감과 결과기대감의 평균의 차이를 대응 표본 t검정으로 분석하였다. 또한 설문조사에 참가한 69명 중 10명을 대상으로 학기말에 반구조화된 면접을 실시하였다. 자료의 분석은 코딩 범주를 개발하고 코딩의 범주에 따라 자료를 분류 및 해석하고 구체적인 자료들로 부터 공통점을 찾아 결론을 이끌어내는 귀납적인 방법으로 분석하였다. 대응 표본 t 검정 분석의 결과는 교육실습 후에 예비교사들의 개인적 교수효능감의 평균이 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 결과기대감은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 면접자료 분석의 결과는 참관수업, 실제수업, 지도교사 및 동료예비교사의 피드백이 개인적 교수효능감에 긍정적 영향을 준 것으로 나타났고, 교재 및 수업연구, 학생중심수업, 개별지도의 경험들이 결과기대감에 긍정적 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 주로 예비교사들의 성공적인 실제교수의 경험들이 개인적 교수효능감과 결과기대감에 영향을 미친 것으로 미루어 보아 실제교수경험 및 이와 유사한 경험 등을 교사양성과정에서 풍부히 제공해야 함을 시사하고 있다.

Abstract

This study examined the impact of student teaching on prospective teachers' personal teaching efficacy and outcome expectancy. Both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies were utilized in this study. For the quantitative research, a sample of 69 prospective teachers of the middle and high school participated and the questionnaire was used to investigate their personal teaching efficacy and outcome expectancy. A paired t-test was employed to examine the changes in their personal teaching efficacy and outcome expectancy beliefs. The results showed the mean of the personal teaching efficacy scale between pre and post test increased with a statistical significance, while the mean of the outcome expectancy scale between pre and post test had no statistical significant change. For the qualitative research, 10 prospective teachers out of 69 participated in the semi-structured interview method. Findings showed the experiences such as observation of teaching, teaching performance, feedbacks from the cooperating teacher or peers were positively influence their personal teaching efficacy. The experiences of teaching performance such as instructional development, learner-centered instruction, and individually additional teaching were also most important factor to impact their outcome expectancy. Discussions of the results and implications for future study were presented.
