2006년은 한국 유통시장이 완전 개방 된지 만으로 10년을 맞는 해이다. 지난 10년간 국내 유통산업은 효율적이고 효과적인 구조를 갖추기 위하여 급진적으로 변화되어져 왔다. 특히 할인점들은 연속적인 SCM관련 프로젝트들을 진행함으로써 한국 유통시장의 구조 개선을 이끌어왔다. 하지만, SCM 파이럿 프로젝트들의 성과는 여전히 우리의 기대치에 못 미치고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 낮은 성과의 원인을 규명하기 위해, A 유통업체와 45개의 공급사가 참여한 VMI 파일럿 프로젝트를 심층 분석하였다. 더욱 더 효과적인 VMI 운영을 목적으로, 45개의 제조업체를 설문조사 후 그들의 KPI를 분석한 하였고, 최종적으로 주요한 연구결과의 일부를 본 연구에서 제시하였다.
Abstract
In 2006, it is the 10th anniversary of full distribution market opening to the foreign affiliate. Through the last 10 years, domestic distribution industry has been changed dramatically so as to build more efficient and effective structures. Especially the discount stores have led the improved Korean distribution market structures by launching series of SCM-related projects.Still, the performances of some SCM pilot projects fell short of our expectation. In order to establish the cause of these poor performances, we conducted an in-depth analysis on a VMI pilot project that involved distribution store ‘A’ with 45 suppliers. We surveyed 45 manufacturing companies and analyzed their KPIs, and finally presented some of the key findings in order to secure more effective VMI operations.
