본 연구는 설교에서 의지력의 적용을 목회상담학적으로 시도한다. 설교는 개신교의 교회를 지탱해온 가장 강력한 수단으로 인정된다. 그런 이유로 설교가 약화되면 교인의 신앙은 물론 교회의 성장에도 문제가 유발된다. 그러면 교인의 신앙이나 교회의 정체상태에서는 여러 가지의 원인이 있지만, 그 중에서도 설교의 문제가 그 중심에 있다고 볼 수 있다. 이런 현상을 설교의 문제로 보고, 이를 현대 설교의 역사적 관점에 기대어 고찰한다. 설교의 문제와 관련하여 현대설교를 그 바탕으로 한다. 개신교의 설교는 다양한 요소들을 포함하고 있다. 정해진 본문을 통하여 정확한 말씀의 해석, 그 말씀이 주는 교훈, 그리고 기독교인으로서 말씀에 합당한 생활과 영적 성장 등 실로 다양하다. 그러나 이런 요소들은 모두 교인에게 힘을 주는 요소로서의 의지적인 요인을 부각시키지 않은 채, 단순한 신앙적 교훈이나 교리에 대한 교육에 치중되는 경우도 없지 않다. 이런 시각에서 이제 설교는 교인에게 힘을 주는 새로운 대안이 필요해진다. 교인이 설교자의 설교를 듣고 생활의 활력을 얻어 세상에서 힘 있게 살아가는 것을 기대하는 것이다. 이는 설교에서 힘을 주는 요소로서 의지력의 적용이 가능한지를 시도하려는 이유다. 이런 점에서 설교의 문제에서 의지력의 적용을 그 대안의 하나로 목회상담의 관점에서 그 대안을 제시한다. 의지력의 적용은 설교에서는 처음으로 시도한다. 그래서 이런 시도는 다소 생소하기도 하고, 그에 대한 다른 의견이 있을 수 있다. 그래도 이런 것이 시발점으로 되어 더 많은 설교의 적용이 이루어져야 한다는 점이 중요시 될 것이다.
Abstract
The study focuses on the application of will power in sermon in view of ministry counseling. Sermon is recognized as the most powerful method to sustain Protestant church. Therefore if the sermon is weakened, not only the faith of the believer but also church growing has problems. There are several reasons of stagnant state of believer's faith and church growing. Among them the problem of sermon is at the center. Regarding this phenomenon as the problem of sermon, investigate it in historical view of modern sermon. Concerning the problem of sermon, the understanding of modern sermon is the ground. Protestant sermon has various factors. Truly it is, for examples, the accurate interpretation of given passage, instruction of the words, proper life according to the words as Christian and spiritual growth, etc. But these factors stress simple religious instruction or doctrinal education regardless of will power as the factor of strengthening believers. This is the reason to find out whether it is possible to apply will power as the factor of strengthening in sermon. Therefore this argues that the main concern of the christian preaching is net on its rhetorical art, but on power of will to teach. Because of this, it is required the study of the factor that gives strength in sermon. Focusing on the problem of the sermon, this thesis has elucidated the application of will power in sermon as an alternative idea in view of ministry counseling. In effect, this study helps preaching to prospect its theological task and direction henceforward.
