Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine celebrity endorser preference on advertising effectiveness for an empirical study on celebrity endorser preference. For this purpose, the study examines that by what route celebrity endorser preference has an effect on attitude toward advertising, attitude toward brand and purchase intention, and also examines that how the route and the influence of the model for advertising effectiveness are differed by some moderating variables(involvement and sex) related to customers. As a result of the study, it is examined that the routes are different by involvement and sex. In high-involvement, the route that attitude toward advertising made by celebrity endorser preference does not affect purchase intention directly regardless of sex is proper. However, in low-involvement, it is examined that the route of the model for advertising effectiveness is differed by sex. While the route that attitude toward advertising made by celebrity endorser preference affects purchase intention directly without attitude toward brand is proper in low-involvement and female, the route which is the same as the route in high-involvement is relatively appropriate in low-involvement and male.Additionally, the influence of celebrity endorser preference on attitude toward advertising is examined. Low-involvement and female context, celebrity endorser preference has stronger influence on attitude toward advertising.
