교통약자의 이동편의증진법의 제정으로 교통약자에 대한 관심이 급증하고 교통수단과 시설을 개선하려는 사업이 지속적으로 계획·시행되고 있다. 대중교통시설의 개선과 공급확대를 통해 교통약자의 이동권과 이동편의가 보장될 것으로 기대된다. 하지만 대부분의 증진계획이 획일적인 시설공급과 확대에 치중되어 있어 다양한 교통약자의 대중교통서비스 수요에 대응하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 또한, 교통약자를 위한 대중교통 이동편의 시설과 교통수단에 대한 체계적인 이용정보 제공 방안이 마련되어 있지 않아 교통약자 맞춤형 대중교통정보제공 기술개발의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 교통약자를 위한 대중교통정보와 이동지원체계에 대한 만족도 조사와 면접 및 추적조사를 실시하여 교통약자 유형별 이동행태를 분석하였으며, 이 결과를 토대로 교통약자 유형 및 특성에 맞는 대중교통정보 제공 방안을 마련하였다.
Abstract
The Mobility Handicapped has recently received great attention because of the enactment of “a law on mobility improvement for the transportation invulnerable.” The mobility rights and convenience will be promoted by improvements and provisions of the transit facility. Since the improvements have focused on the expansion of facility provisions, transit service has not met with various demands from different travel behavior characteristics of the Mobility Handicapped. In order to improve transit service for the Mobility Handicapped, it is necessary to identify the difference of travel behavior characteristics between the types of Mobility Handicapped, and the needs of transit information. In this study, therefore, various survey performed to analyze the characteristics and information needs: the satisfaction survey, interview, and tracking survey on public transportation service and information for the Mobility Handicapped. Based on the result of the analysis, it was proposed improvement program and public transportation information service for the Mobility Handicapped by type and characteristics.
