본 연구에서는 효과적인 사이버 가정학습을 위하여 상호작용적 사이버 가정학습 체제 모형 그리고 이 모형을 지원하는 프로토타입 시스템을 개발하였으며, 이 시스템을 이용하여 사이버 가정학습 체제의 교육적 가능성을 검증하고자 하였다. 고등학생으로 구성된 실험집단(33명)과 통제집단(33명)을 대상으로 사이버 가정학습에 대한 학업성취도와 만족도를 분석하였는데, 그 실험 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학업성취도 측면에서 교실환경에서의 학습과 사이버 가정학습 환경에서의 학습에 유의미한 차이는 나타나지 않았는데, 이 점은 학교교육의 대안적 체제로서 사이버 가정학습체제의 가능성을 보여주는 것이다. 둘째, 사이버가정학습에 대한 흥미도 변화의 측면에서, 실시간 상호작용도구의 사용에서 오는 새로운 경험과 흥미에 기인하여 사이버 가정학습에 대한 관심도가 24%에서 54%로 증가되었다. 이러한 사실은 상호작용도구의 중요성과 사이버 가정학습 체제의 비전을 제시해주는 결과로 볼 수 있다. 셋째, 시스템 운영의 측면에서, 사이버 가정학습에서는 LAN에서 동작하는 상황과는 달리 WAN에서 운영된다는 점에서 보다 나은 사양의 시설을 필요로 하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop MICHS(Model for Interactive Cyber Home Study) for effective cyber home study(CHS) and a prototype system to support realtime and non-realtime interaction tools such as chatting with users, to study a method to connect MICHS with selective curriculum, and to verify the educational effect of the model. MICHS consists of two models. One model is a educational system model, and another model is a teaching-learning model. The major results of this study are summarized as follows. In the viewpoint of learning achievement, there is no significant difference in achievement between the experimental group(33 leaners) and the comparative group(33 leaners), but this fact can be construed as the possibility that CHS is an alternative system of school education. The interests on CHS of learners in the experimental group were increased twice. This result means that the system of CHS for active interaction needs various tools which are very important, and the educational vision of CHS. In the viewpoint of system operation, CHS needs higher system requirements such as 100 Mbps Fast Ethernet. If an old system can not process streaming services in request, it should be upgraded to a new system. Parents are very useful human resources. They can observe the physical and psychological states of their children, and their children encourage by their words or actions. Therefore, when human resources are well utilized, the educational objects of CHS will be smoothly achieved.
