본 연구는 동일 교수자가 강의하는 동일 강의를 e-러닝 강의와 면대면 강의로 한 학기 동안 운영하여, 온라인과 오프라인 학습 환경에 따라 학습자들의 특성 및 학업성취와 학습만족도에 어떤 차이가 있는지 탐색하고자 하였다. 또한, e-러닝 강의에서 학습자의 특성과 e-러닝 경험, 컴퓨터 활용 능력에 따라 학업성취와 학습만족도에 차이를 보이는지 분석하였다. 연구는 ‘매스컴과 현대사회’를 수강하는 면대면 강의 수강생 151명, e-러닝 강의 수강생 572명을 대상으로 한 학기 동안 진행되었고, 시험을 통해 학업성취를, 설문을 통해 학습 만족도를 분석하였다. 연구결과 e-러닝과 면대면 강의의 학습자 특성 중 e-러닝 경험 유무, 성별, 학년에 유의미한 차이가 있었고, 학습만족도 중 교수학습전략 및 교과 난이도와 학업성취에 유의미한 차이를 보였다. e-러닝 강의에서는 컴퓨터 활용 능력이나 e-러닝 경험 유무가 학업성취나 학습만족도에 유의미한 차이를 가져오지 않았다. 본 연구는 동일한 조건하에 대규모 사례수를 확보하여 e-러닝을 면대면 강의와 직접적으로 비교분석함으로써, e-러닝 활용과 적용에 실증적인 자료를 제시한다는데 의의가 있다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate a difference in learner character, learning achievement and learning satisfaction according to online and offline learning environment through e-learning and face-to-face lectures the same teacher had given for a semester. Also, this study analyzed a difference in learning achievement and satisfaction according to learner character, e-learning experience and ability to use computer in e-learning lecture. The results of study showed that there was a significant difference according to e-learning experience, sex, and grade among characters of learners in e-learning and face-to-face lectures. But neither e-learning experience nor ability to use computer led to a significant difference in learning achievement and satisfaction in e-learning lecture. This study might have a meaning to offer practical data about e-learning use and application through direct comparison between e-learning and face-to-face learning under the same condition with a large sample size.
