초등 예비교사를 위한 대학-학교 연계 온라인 교육실습 지원 플랫폼 개발 사례

A case study on the development of university-school linked online platform to support teaching practicum of elementary school pre-service teachers

초록

예비교사의 전문적 실천역량 증진을 위한 내실있는 학교현장실습의 운영은 대학과 실습학교의 긴밀한 소통과 협력이 요구된다. 이에 따른 이번 연구의 목적은 대학과 실습학교의 협력 네트워크를 강화함으로써 온라인 또는 블렌디드 교육실습을 통합 운영․관리하고 실습의 효과성을 증진하기 위한 온라인 지원 시스템을 개발하는 것이었다. 먼저 교육실습에 활용되는 테크놀로지 개발과 적용에 관한 선행연구 고찰을 통해, 개발하려는 교육실습 지원 플랫폼의 개념과 역할이 정의되고 기본 구조와 구성요소가 도출되었다. 또한, 이를 토대로 교육실습 플랫폼 1.0이 설계․개발되었고 국내의 한 교육대학 비대면 수업실습 과정에 적용되었으며, 참여한 실습생과 지도교사를 대상으로 시스템 사용성 평가 사후설문이 실시되었다. 참여 관찰과 포커스 그룹 면담을 병행하여 설문 분석한 결과, 교육실습 플랫폼 1.0은 실습 과정의 운영과 관리, 참여자 모니터링, 영상을 활용한 수업참관 활동 지원에 유용한 시스템으로 평가되었다. 하지만, 플랫폼의 성공적인 확산 적용을 위하여 실습학교에서 사용되는 여러 소통 채널의 일원화와 모바일 지원 확대 등 사용자 편이성의 확보가 필요하고, 시스템 기능 개발에 따른 효과적인 적용방안과 정책적 지원이 더불어 제공되어야 함을 확인할 수 있었다.

Abstract

School-based teaching practicum to improve prospective teachers’ professional abilities requires close communication and cooperation between universities and partner schools. Accordingly, the purpose of this study was to develop an online system that can strengthen the network of universities and cooperative schools to integrate and manage online or blended practicums and enhance the effectiveness of programs, by strengthening the network of universities and cooperative schools. First, along with a literature review of previous research on the development and application of technologies used in teaching practicum, the study defined the concept and role of a university-school linked teaching practicum support platform to be developed and derived its basic structures and components. Designed and developed on this basis, the Teaching Practicum Platform 1.0 was applied to a non-face-to-face practicum course at a domestic university preparing primary school teachers, and after the practice, a system usability evaluation survey was conducted for student-teachers and mentor-teachers who participated in the course. As a result of the survey analysis, conducted with participatory observations and focus group interviews, the Platform 1.0 was evaluated as a useful system for operating and managing practicum courses, monitoring participants, and supporting class observation activities using video. However, it has been confirmed that in order for the platform to be successful and widely applied, it is necessary to secure user convenience such as integrating various communication channels used by cooperative schools and expanding mobile support, and provide effective system application and policy support at the same time.
