A Study on the Development and Application of an International Student Exchange Program with a Web-based Experiential Learning Model: focusing on ALCoB Edutainment Exchange Program

The purpose of this study is to develop an international student exchange program based on Web-based experiential learning and to apply the developed program to a specific student group from other economies. In its design, three additional recommendations were considered: 1) to integrate the related concepts from an international forum, consisting of researchers and administrators in the field of education, 2) to associate the program with the activity principles of international exchange cases among teachers and schools in the Asia and Pacific region, and 3) to utilize the results of several international focus group interviews on improving global student exchange programs. As a result of this study, the international student exchange program which is called the ALCoB Edutainment Exchange Program (AEEP) was constructed with a principle-based format. It achieved high satisfaction and performance abilities from the participating students through the application of the program. In all likelihood, this study represents the first development of an international student exchange program using online and experiential learning with the support of many APEC economies' officials. Lastly, for the more harmonious application of the developed program to related areas in the future, some suggestions were presented.
