As a result, Pantaleón y las visitadoras continues to be in the field of total novel like his previous works. In this sense, this article tries to analyze the reasons, the aspects, and the significance of the madness, which consists of two parts: the physical madness of the unbearable sexual desire and the mental madness of the blind religious belief. Indulging their motives related to the climate and the society, this article attempts to show how Pantaleón y las visitadoras discovers the concealed reality and what this intention means.
