초록

In Spanish plays, ‘comedia palatina’ was a representative form of pure comedy at the time when it flourished in the early 17th century. But this ‘comedia palatina’ has a mysterious aspect of experiencing formation, prosperity and extinction all at once in just over two decades. The reasons for this rapid decline and extinction are the establishment of a conservative approach to overcoming the crisis faced by Spanish society at the time, the failure to expand diversity, the depletion of materials, and the limitations of stage equipment. But it is undeniable that ‘comedia palatina’ was a form of progressive and pioneering play that was ahead of its time.
