주거환경관리사업에서 공동체의식 형성에 관한 연구: 시흥시 도일시장 사례를 중심으로

본 연구는 시흥시 도일시장을 사례로 분석하여 주거환경관리사업에서의 공동체의식 형성을 위한 시사점을 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해서 공동체의식의 형성 과정을 참여활성화 단계(1단계), 공동체성 구비 단계(2단계)로 구분하여 분석한다. 주거환경관리사업에서 공동체의식 형성에 관한 시사점은 다음의 4가지로 요약된다. 첫째, 지역주민의 마을에 대한 작은 관심과 참여, 그리고 마을의 공통된 문제의식을 통해서 공동체의식이 형성되고 있다. 둘째, 지역주민들이 함께 참여할 수 있는 주민참여 프로그램을 통해서 공동체의식이 형성될 수 있다. 셋째, 공동체의식이 형성되기 위해서는 지역주민의 의견을 반영할 수 있는 주민조직이 필요하다. 넷째, 공동체의식의 형성을 위해서는 지역주민 스스로 활용 가능한 재원 확보가 필요하다. 본 연구는 향후 지속적으로 진행될 주거환경관리사업에서의 공동체의식을 회복하는 데 시사점을 제공하며, 공동체가 살아 있는 더욱 실천적인 주거환경관리사업의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
Abstract
This study aims at identifying the formation of sense of community for the residential environment management project that could help form the sense of community in a city. The case of Doil-market in Siheung city were selected for the study. This paper employs a case study research method to examine the factors of the residential environment management project that effect to form the sense of community. This study suggests, the following policy implications for sense of community. First, the sense of community is formed throughout little interest, citizen participation and common problems of the city. Second, this sense of community can be formed by the local people to be involved in the Citizen Participation Program. Third, there is need organization to reflect the opinions of local resident in order to form a sense of community management. Fourth, it need to raise funds of a local resident to form a sense of community.
