한국과 일본의 유치원교사 자격기준과 양성체계 및 과목편성 지침 비교

본 연구는 한국과 일본의 유치원교사 자격기준과 양성체계 및 양성과정의 과목편성 지침을 비교분석하여 유치원교사양성과정의 질 향상을 위한 학술적 논의의 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 양국의 교육관련 주무부처 홈페이지를통해 유치원교사 자격검정 관련 최신의 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국은학위수준에 상관없이 동일한 자격증을 수여하고, 일본은 학위수준에 따라 자격을 구분하는 것으로 나타났으며, 유치원교사 양성체계는 한국이 규준강화를 통한 유치원교사 간 동질성을, 일본은 대학의 자율성을 통한 유치원교사의 주체성을지향한다는 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 이러한 차이는 과목편성 지침에서 유아교육의 고유성 반영여부, 교사 적성 및 인성고려 방식, 사회적 이슈의 대응방식에 차이로 나타나고 있음이 발견되었다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 유치원교사양성과정에서 유아교육의 본질에 충실하기 위한 기본이수과목의 정선, 체험을 통해 배움을 종합해보고 부족한 부분을찾아 보충해볼 수 있는 체험적·종합적·반성적 성격의 과목 보완, 각 대학 교육과정 편성에서 자율성을 발휘할 수있도록 과목편성 관련 규제완화 등에 대해 논하였다.
Abstract
This study analyzed the certification criteria and training system and training course curriculums of Korean and Japanese kindergarten teachers and attempted to search for the direction for academic discussion to achieve qualitative change in the training process of Korean kindergarten teachers. For this, data regarding teacher certification was collected and analyzed through education related department websites of both countries. The main results of the analysis were as follows. First, Korea presents the same certification regardless of the level of academic degree and Japan makes distinctions according to the level of academic degree. Also, with regard to kindergarten teacher training systems, Korea aims for homogeneity among kindergarten teachers through the reinforcement of criteria, and Japan aims for the independence of kindergarten teachers through institutional autonomy. Second, it was discovered that these differences appear as differences in the application of uniqueness in kindergarten teacher education curriculums, teacher aptitude and character consideration methods, and reaction methods towards social issues. Lastly, based on these results, this study discussed the selectivity of basic required subjects for the establishment of a base that emphasizes the essential characteristics of early childhood education, the supplementation of heuristic, comprehensive, and reflective subjects that can supplement insufficiencies in learning through experience, and the relaxation of regulations regarding curriculums so that the educational courses of each university can demonstrate creativity.
