초등학생의 완벽주의 성향은 개인 요인, 부모 요인, 사회 요인 모두가 통합적으로 받는다는 관점으로 개인 요인으로서기질과 내현적 자기애, 부모 요인은 부모애착, 사회 요인으로 사회적 지지를 선정하여 초등학교 5, 6학년 학생 377명을대상으로 완벽주의 성향과의 구조적 관계를 검증하고 총효과, 직접효과, 간접효과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 기질, 내현적 자기애, 부모애착, 사회적지지, 완벽주의 성향의 구조적 관계에서 기질, 내현적 자기애와사회적 지지는 완벽주의 성향에 유의한 직접효과가 있었다. 둘째, 잠재변인 중 내현적 자기애가 완벽주의 성향에미치는 효과가 가장 컸다. 셋째, 부모애착은 완벽주의 성향에 직접 효과는 유의하지 않았으나, ‘내현적 자기애가완벽주의 성향에 영향을 미치는데 있어 매개변인으로서 간접효과가 있었으며, 총효과에서는 내현적 자기애 다음으로그 효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 사회적 지지는 완벽주의 성향에 정적 직접 효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 교육자 및 부모들은 초등학생의 완벽주의 성향에는 다양한 변인들이 함께 영향을 미침을 이해하고 타고난기질을 파악하여 그에 맞는 안내를 통해 내현적 자기애를 낮추고 부모와의 안정적인 애착 형성을 할 수 있도록도와주어야 한다. 또한 사회적 지지를 완벽에 대한 압박으로 인식하지 않도록 하여 과도한 완벽주의 성향으로 어려움을겪지 않도록 도와주어야 한다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationship among the temperament, covert narcissism, parental attachment, social support and perfectionism of elementary school students. In order to accomplish this purpose, this study gathered the date of 377 elementary school students. The results of this study were as follows. First, in the structural relationships among temperament, covert narcissism, parental attachment, social support, and perfectionism, temperament, covert narcissism, and social support had significant direct effects on perfectionism. Second, the effect of covert narcissism was the greatest. Finally, the direct effect of parental attachment on perfectionism was not significant while in the path of the impact of covert narcissism on perfectionism, it had an indirect effect on it as a mediator variable, and as for the total effect, it had the second greatest effect to covert narcissism. Therefore educator and parents should perceive that the perfectionism of elementary school students are influenced by variables as well and identify their temperament in order to guide them to bring down covert narcissism and build stable parental attachment with their parents. It is also important to help them understand that the social support is not a pressure on perfection and not to suffer from their perfectionism.
