Bruner의 교육이론과 영재교육의 현대적 접목

본 연구는 Bruner의 교육이론이 현대의 영재 교육 이론과 실천에 어떻게 접목될 수 있는지를 탐구한 것이다. 그의 교육이론에서 핵심 주제로 알려져 있는 ‘지식의 구조’와 ‘내러티브’에 대해 살펴보고, 거기에 담겨 있는 주요 특징들이 영재교육에 어떻게 적용 가능한지를 논의하였다. 한 가지 방안으로 최근에 영재교육에서 강조되는 병행 교육과정의 내용과 내러티브 영재의 개념을 살펴보고 그것이 브루너의 교육이론과 관련을 맺는 방식을 탐구해 본 것이다. 본 연구에서는 병행 교육과정을 지식의 구조가 반영된 것으로 해석하였으며, 내러티브 영재는 내러티브에서 발전된 개념으로 제안하였다. 향후 영재교육에서 지식의 구조와 내러티브에 대한 본질이 보다 심층적으로 구현될 수 있도록 병행 교육과정과 내러티브 영재에 대한 연구가 요청된다. 마지막으로 영재 교육의 실제에서 병행 교육과정과 내러티브 영재의 타당성 여부는 브루너의 교육이론이 얼마나 온전히 반영되는가 하는 데에 있음을 강조하고자 하였다.
Abstract
We can find many problems with the sphere of the latest gifted education. Among problems, the most serious thing is the bias of specific educational strategy and overstress for novelty effect within the gifted education. But there is possibility of integrative connection to the latest tendency of the gifted education with old educational thoughts. New educational practice may come across old and basic educational ideas. The purpose of this study is understand contemporary encounter of Bruner’s structure of knowledge with the gifted education. To solve this problem, we try to approach two tasks. First, we do connect Bruner’s structure of knowledge to Tomlinson and Renzulli’s parallel curriculum. Second, through the enlarged concept of narrative, we construct new concept of narrative giftedness. The one adapts indirect connect, the other adapts direct connect as to contemporary encounter. We should pay attention to integrate new educational trend with the valid and valuable educational thoughts. As mentioned above, Bruner’s structure of knowledge and narrative shed light on the gifted education for promoting its own qualitative growth.
