이야기치료의 애도 상담은 고인에 대한 상실이 아니라 고인과의 연결을 통해 그와의 경험을 이야기함으로써 애도당사자에게 대안적인 이야기를 발전시키도록 진행된다. 회원재구성 대화를 사용하여 고인과의 연결을 통해 이전에생각해보지 못했던 대안적 지식과 정체성에 관한 새로운 이야기를 발전시키는 데에 주안점을 둔다. 이 논문은 사례연구방법을 사용하여 가족에 대한 애도를 주제로 세 사례의 상담을 한 후 이야기의 진행 내용과 과정을 구조적으로분석하였다. 결과는 애도에 대한 지배적인 이야기가 먼저 나타난 후에 회원재구성 대화를 통해 이야기의 전환점이 마련되고이후에 대안적인 이야기로 발전되어 가는 것을 보여주었다. 이야기 전환점은 고인과 연결이 된 후에 이야기 주인공이과거 경험에 대한 새로운 해석을 하게 되면서부터 마련되었다. 이후에 이야기 주인공의 이야기는 새로운 정체성을포함한 대안적 이야기를 발전시키는 것으로 이어졌다. 사례들을 통해 이야기치료의 회원재구성 대화는 한국적 상황속에서도 애도 상담으로 성공적으로 사용될 수 있음을 보여 주었다.
Abstract
The Objectives: This article examined the narrative structure of grief counseling cases using re-membering conversation in narrative therapy to see if the conversation is helpful in the Korean context of grief counseling. Methods: Case study is used to apply re-membering conversation to grief counseling. Also, related documents are reviewed to introduce and discuss the philosophical background of narrative therapy for grief counseling. Results: Grief Counseling in narrative therapy pursues retelling of memories shared with a deceased person, in which the mourner can renew the relationship with him/her. Re-membering conversation is used for the development of alternative story in grief counseling in narrative therapy. This conversation helps mourners to see themselves through the lost one's eyes so that they can leave the dominant story of death and lost and develop an alternative knowledge of themselves. Conclusions: Re-membering conversation was helpful in three cases, in the development of an alternative story.
