다문화 청소년의 진로장벽과 관련 변인 간의 구조적 관계

초록

이 연구의 목적은 다문화 청소년의 진로장벽과 관련 변인 간의 구조관계를 검증하는 데 있었다. 이를 위해 다문화 중･고등학생을 대상으로 진로장벽과 관련 변인으로 입증된 사회적 지지, 자존감, 자기효능감 및 대처효능감의 구조모델을 설정하고 모델의 적합도를 판정하고, 관련 변인 간의 직･간접적 영향 관계를 검증하였다. 이 연구의 모집단은 전국 중･고등학교에 재학 중인 다문화 청소년이었으며, 표본은 지역적 대표성 확보를 위해 수도권과 비수도권에 소재한 21개 중･고등학교에서 유의표본 추출법으로 표집을 하였다. 수집된 자료 212부 가운데 200부의 자료가 분석에 활용되었다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가설적으로 설정된 다문화 청소년의 진로장벽모델 적합도는 이 연구의 판정기준을 충족시켰다. 둘째, 진로장벽과 관련 변인 간의 직접적 영향 관계가 모두 유의한 것이 입증되었다. 셋째, 다문화 청소년의 진로장벽과 관련 변인 간의 구조모델 내에서 자존감, 자기효능감 및 대처효능감의 개별 매개효과와 연속 다중매개효과가 검증되었다. 이상의 연구 결과를 토대로 다문화 청소년의 진로장벽 지각에 영향을 미치는 관련 변인 간의 관계에 대한 함의를 제시하였으며, 끝으로 이 연구에서 검증된 진로장벽모델을 보다 다양한 특성을 가진 다문화 청소년을 대상으로 적용 가능성을 확인하는 후속연구의 필요성을 제언하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to identify structural relations among career barriers(CB), social support(SS), self-esteem(SE), self-efficacy(SEF) and coping efficacy(CE) of the Korean multicultural adolescents. For this purpose, a hypothetical structural model was set and investigated, and the relations among variables within the model were identified. To collect data, a questionnaire survey was conducted to measure the level of their perception of CB, SS, SE, SEF and CE using tools for measuring CB and related variables. The final 200 multicultural adolescents' responses were analyzed through structural equation modeling. The major findings of the study were as follows; First, the goodness-of-fit of hypothetical structural model among SS, SE, SEF, CE and CB was satisfactory, which confirmed the structural relationships among the variables. Second, it was proved that all the direct influence relationships among CB and related variables were significant within the CB Model. Third, the SE, SEF and CE of multicultural adolescents were partially mediated between SS and CB. Based on the results found in this study, some recommendations for future research were suggested.
