초록

The purpose of this study is to understand pre-service teachers' perceptions of simulated instruction based on metaphor analysis. To achieve this, the study qualitatively explored the educational perceptions and experiences of 78 secondary pre-service teachers enrolled in the College of Education at B University, located in the Seoul metropolitan area. The findings are as follows. First, secondary pre-service teachers perceive simulated instruction as a process of preparation and planning for actual classroom teaching. Second, secondary pre-service teachers view simulated instruction as a practice and training phase for real-world teaching in school settings. Third, secondary pre-service teachers perceive simulated instruction as a process of reflection and anticipation in their roles as educators. Fourth, secondary pre-service teachers also see it as a challenge and an opportunity for growth as teachers. Based on these findings, the current study presents meaningful implications for simulated instruction in secondary teacher training institutes.
