In the second category, 4 themes were derived within 2 theme groups: 'school adaptation' and 'expanding perspective on study'. And in the third category, 4 themes were derived within 2 theme groups: 'perception of the free semester system' and 'criticism of the free semester system'. Although the experience of the free semester system has a positive effect, there is a limitation in that the continuous effect cannot be maintained. Therefore, it is necessary to implement of community-linked specialiSed programs and customiSed career education using digital technology on secondary education as a whole when planning and operating free semester programs.
