초록

The purpose of this study was to explore strategies for the educational use of power system analysis programs. To this end, major power system analysis programs (such as PSS/E, ETAP, PowerWorld, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD, and Matpower) were compared and analyzed based on key content required in power system education. Based on this analysis, the study proposed learner-centered educational strategies, including the applicability of these programs to curriculum design, instructional approaches tailored to learners, and effective evaluation and feedback methods. The main conclusions are as follows: First, power system analysis programs vary in their features, user-friendliness, educational suitability, applicability to industry and research, and accessibility. Second, these diverse programs support a shift away from theory-centered education by enabling hands-on and simulation-based learning, which in turn enhances students' conceptual understanding, problem-solving abilities, and practical adaptability. Third, effective power system education can be achieved by applying these programs in a phased manner according to learners’ levels and by diversifying evaluation and feedback systems during curriculum design.
