There were changes in themeaning and values of memorial architecture as atmospheres for reflecting on nationalism-based conquest warsand trying to remember the pain of postwar people around the world were created. This study tries to suggesta metaphorical, open, symbolic, and artistic plan of the Cheonan Memorial Hall by studying how immaterialmemory and monumentality is materialized and transferred to architecture and space.
