이 글에서는 비트겐슈타인의 언어철학과 연관하여, 그 전·후기 윤리관에 접근한다. 우선 그의 언어사상이 일관적으로 철학적 문법론에 있다고 볼 것이다. 전기의 철학적 문법론은 논리적 구문론이고, 후기의 그것은 언어놀이인데, 필자는 후기의 철학적 문법론이 전기사상의 오류극복 결과라 생각한다. 그리고 각각의 언어사상이 적용된 전·후기 윤리관의 특징과 그 관계를 살펴볼 것이다. 특히 후기의 윤리관이 전기의 그것에 비해 우월함을 지적할 것이다. 전기 논리적 구문론에 따르면 ‘좋음’에 대해서는 다만 소극적으로 침묵에 머물러야 한다. 하지만 후기 언어놀이에 따르면 ‘좋음’에 관해 적극적으로 표현할 수 있다. 나아가 전기의 『논리-철학 논고』와 후기의 『철학적 탐구』에서 드러나는 언어사상이 구체적으로 어떻게 윤리관에 적용되는지 파악하기 위해, 강의록들을 분석한다. 전기의 윤리관은 “윤리학 강연”으로, 후기의 윤리관은 “강의 1932/33”의 해석으로 밝히겠다.
Abstract
In this article, I investigate the early and late ethics of Wittgenstein from the view of his philosophy of language. First of all, the premise is that his thoughts of language are constantly in philosophical grammar. I think, the philosophical grammar of the early period is logical syntax, and the later one is language game. And I examine the characteristics and relations of the pre and post ethical views to which both language thoughts of Wittgenstein are applied. In particular, I insist that later ethics points out superiority to that of the first. According to the logical syntax, you should passively silent on the goodness. However, according to the language game, you can actively express the goodness. In the research method, the lectures are analyzed, in order to understand how the thoughts of Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus and Philosophical investigations are applied to ethics. The early ethics is revealed in the "A Lecture on Ethics", and the latter in "Lecture 1932/33".
