先秦 시대 淸廉 정신의 발현과 그 귀감

본고는 선진시대 청렴 정신의 발현을 선양하여 오늘날 우리 삶에 귀감을 얻고자 쓰는 글이다. 은말 백이(伯夷)숙제(叔齊), 우(虞) 궁지기(宮之奇), 진(晉) 리리(李離), 초(楚) 손숙오(孫叔敖), 로(魯) 계문자(季文子), 위(衛) 사어(史魚), 송(宋) 사성자한(司城子罕), 로(魯) 공의휴(公儀休), 초(楚) 석사(石奢), 진(晉) 숙향(叔向), 제(齊) 안자(晏子) 등 청렴한 충신현인 열한 분의 행적을 대체로 시대 순으로 정리해 소개한다. 백이숙제만 빼면, 나머지 열 분은 대체로 춘추시대에 활약한 분들이다. 이들이 탐욕과 뇌물로 부패·타락한 살벌한 국내정치 및 국제외교 무대에서 공평정직하게 백성행복과 선린우호를 위해 보여준 청렴 정신은, 마치 더러운 진흙탕에서 피어난 해맑은 연꽃처럼 그윽한 향기를 발산했는데, 그 여향이 지금까지 전해져 수많은 후세인의 심금을 울린다. 우리도 이들의 마음과 정신을 본받아 우리 현실사회를 좀 더 청렴정직하게 정화하길 바란다.
Abstract
This paper tries to survey eleven great wise & benevolent bureaucratic politicians from various nations in Pre-Qin period, in order to enhance their spirits of incorruptibility and to gain more lessons & wisdoms from their historical experiences. Enumerating roughly in chronological order, they are Bo-Yi(伯夷)·Shu-Qi(叔齊) in late Yin(殷), Gong-Zhiqi(宮之奇) in Yu(虞), Li-Li(李離) in Jin(晉), Sun -Shuao(孫叔敖) in Chu(楚), Ji-Wenzi(季文子) in Lu(魯), Shi-Yü(史魚) in Wei(衛), Sicheng-Zihan(司城子罕) in Song(宋), Gong-Yixiu(公儀休) in Lu(魯), Shi-She(石奢) in Chu(楚), Shu-Xiang(叔向) in Jin(晉), and Yan-zi(晏子) in Qi(齊). Except the first, the rest ten peoples in all had lived in Chun-Qiu(春秋) period, i.e. from B.C.770 to B.C.476. They had played very great active parts in both domestic politics & international diplomatic negotiations. They had bloomed very neat, clean and graceful lotuses of incorruptibility in dirty & soiled pond full of bribes, decay & corruption with bad smell & offensive odor. We may smell sweet odor & faint fragrance of them up to the present. It would be desirable hopes that the spirits of incorruptibility of them in pre-Qin period would be good examples to our modern lives.
