2022 개정 교육과정의 도덕, 과학, 기술·가정 교과에 기술된 생명윤리 교육에 관한 연구

학교 교육의 기본 방향과 내용을 설정하는 국가 교육과정이 거듭 개정되어 현재 2022 개정교육과정이 발표되고 2024년 초등학교 1, 2학년부터 적용되고 있다. 이에 2022 개정 교육과정에 나타난 생명윤리 교육을 도덕, 과학, 기술·가정 교과의 교육과정에서 살펴보았다. 모든 학교급의 교과에서 생명존중윤리가 나타났고, 생명의료윤리는 초등학교 도덕, 중학교 기술·가정, 고등학교 도덕, 과학, 기술·가정 교과에 기술되었다. 생명공학윤리는 중학교와 고등학교의 세 교과에서 다루어졌다. 교육과정에 나타난 생명윤리 교육은 각 교과 안팎에서 입장의 차이를 보이고국제적인 동향과도 다른 부분이 있으므로 이에 대한 개선이 필요하다.
Abstract
The national curriculum, which sets the basic direction and content of school education, has been repeatedly revised, and the 2022 revised curriculum has been announced, now being applied to first and second graders in elementary school from 2024. In this study, bioethics education in the 2022 revised curriculum was examined in the curricula of moral education, science, and practical arts subjects. Respect for life ethics appeared in all school levels’ subjects, and biomedical ethics was described in elementary moral education, middle school technology & home economics, and high school moral education, science, and technology & home economics subjects. Bioethics in biotechnology was addressed in all three subjects in both middle and high schools. Bioethics education in the curriculum showed differences in perspectives within and across subjects, and there were discrepancies compared to international trends, indicating the need for improvement.
