본 논문의 목적은 하이데거가 『존재와 시간』에서 제시한 실존 범주 중 하나인 심려를 고찰하면서 현존재가 타인과 더불어 사는 가운데 나타내 보이는 다양한 실존론적 양태들을 분석하는 데에 있다. 이 분석은 하이데거의 기초존재론이 지니는 현상학적 함의를 윤리학적으로 숙고하기 위한 연구의 예비적인 의미를 지닌다. 하이데거에 따르면 세계-내-존재로서 현존재는 주위세계의 사물에 대해 배려하지만 공동현존재인 타인에 대해서는 심려한다. 심려는 다양한 양태로 나타나는데, 그 긍정적 양태의 극을 포함하여 일종의 스펙트럼과 같은 연속체를 형성하고 있다. 그런데 하이데거는 타인에게 마음을 쓰는 심려의 양태가 우선 대개 결여된 심려로서 평균적 일상성에서 “배려하는 심려”로서 나타난다고 한다. 여기서 그는 현존재가 심려를 배려로 오도하여 실존하는 현존재로서 마음 써야 할 공동현존재를 우선 손안의 존재자와 같은 사물로서 대하는 사태를 밝히고 있다. 그는 더불어 있음의 이러한 양태에 대한 고찰을 진행하지 않음으로써 자신의 심려 분석이 윤리학적 가치 물음을 다루는 존재적 차원으로 전개되는 길을 차단한다. 그러나 이러한 차단 없이 오도로 이끄는 부정적 심려의 한 극을 상세히 고찰하면서 심려의 다양한 양태를 재구성하면, 하이데거 기초 존재론을 탈윤리적으로 유지하기 위해 방치할 수밖에 없는 오도의 현상학적 계기가 발견된다. 필자는 이 부정적 심려의 사태에 주목함으로써 하이데거 기초존재론이 그 자체적으로 지닌 가치물음의 계기를 현상학적 탐구의 주제로서 제안하고자 한다.
Abstract
The objective of this paper is to analyze Heidegger’s various existential modes of Dasein as being with others(Mitsein), and for this I examine. “solicitude”(Fürsorge), one of the main existentialia that Heidegger claims in Being and Time. The analysis is a preliminary study to pursue the ethical implications in Heidegger’s fundamental ontology, which I argue remains post-ethical within its primordial origin. According to Heidegger, Dasien has different attitudes towards things and other Dasein. The former is “concern”(Besorge) and the latter is solicitude. Various modes of solicitude form a continuous spectrum from the positive poles, but Dasein proximally and for the most part shows a lack of solicitude towards Dasein-With, which Heidegger also calls ‘concernful solicitude’ as the attitude of ‘das Man’. In this way Heidegger elucidates the facticality of Mitsein, where Dasein misleads solicitude to concern, thus not treating others through solicitude but with concern. In this phenomenological possibility Dasein-With is not considered as an entity whose ‘Wesen’ is existence but as things, i.e. a non-Dasein entity. Heidegger does not advance this mode of solicitude, and by not doing so he prevents his analysis of solicitude from developing into an ontical inquiry that deals with questions in relation to ethical values. However, if we investigate the negative pole of this mode of solicitude, and reconstruct the whole continuum of the solicitude spectrum from positive to negative, the phenomenological status of Dasein’s misleading of solicitude emerges. I argue that this status is what Heidegger intends to hide so as to maintain his fundamental ontology as primordial and so post-ethical. By paying a close attention to this negative status of solicitude, which Heidegger does not attempt to emphasize, I suggest that the phenomenological study on the negative pole of solicitude as Dasein’s everyday mode of being with others should be a starting point for the post-metaphysical inquiry for ethics that restores the crucial questions around ethical values today.
