초록

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the trunk muscle activity during the front squat and back squat to find out which movement is more stable for the spine and more effective in preventing injury. The subject of the study was a male with more than 2 years of weight training experience, and the EMG measurement method was measured by dividing it into 4 sections based on the velocity change point during movement. As for the measured muscles, the rectus abdominis and erector spinae muscles were measured using Delsys EMG equipment. As a result of the measurement, the activity of the rectus abdominis muscle was high in the front squat, and the activity of the erector spinae muscle was high in the back squat. Also, when the trunk went up compared to when it went down, higher activity was shown in all muscle groups. In conclusion, depending on the posture, the activity of the trunk muscles appears differently, and if the purpose is high participation of the posterior chain muscles, the back squat is preferred, and if the purpose is high participation of the anterior chain muscles, the front squat can be preferred.

Abstract

In conclusion, depending on the posture, the activity of the trunk muscles appears differently, and if the purpose is high participation of the posterior chain muscles, the back squat is preferred, and if the purpose is high participation of the anterior chain muscles, the front squat can be preferred.
