초록
This study examines the role of the sports industry in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on global research and policy trends from 2020 to 2025. A systematic literature review was conducted using international academic databases and institutional reports from organizations such as the UN, IOC, and UNESCO. The findings highlight how sports contribute to SDG targets in health (SDG 3), education (SDG 4), gender equality (SDG 5), economic growth (SDG 8), sustainable cities (SDG 11), peace (SDG 16), and global partnerships (SDG 17). Sports enhance public health, promote youth development, support gender equity, and create inclusive communities. Challenges include policy fragmentation, unequal representation, and sustainability risks in mega-events. The study suggests that integrating SDG frameworks into national sports policies, particularly in Korea, can maximize their social impact and align with global sustainability goals.
