초록
This study examined the effects of training using an artificial intelligence-based postural feedback system on balance control and motor-cognitive ability in older adults. Forty-five participants aged 65 years or older were initially recruited and randomly assigned to an AI feedback group, a visual feedback group, and a control group (15 per group). After two dropouts, a total of 43 participants (AI: n=14, visual: n=15, control: n=14) completed the intervention and were included in the analysis. The intervention consisted of 60-minute sessions performed three times per week for eight weeks. Outcome measures included postural sway, reaction time, motor-cognitive ability, balance, and mobility. The AI feedback group demonstrated significant improvements in postural sway, reaction time, and motor-cognitive ability (p < .01), compared with the control group. The visual feedback group showed modest but non-significant trends toward improvement, while the control group exhibited no notable changes. These findings indicate that AI based postural feedback training enhances neuromuscular control and cognitive attention in older adults. AI assisted balance training may serve as a practical approach to improving functional stability and preventing falls in aging populations.
