최근 교육부 발표에 의하면 우리 사회가 매우 빠른 속도로 다양화, 세계화되면서 국제결혼과 이주 노동자의 증가로 외국인 인구가 총인구의 1%를 넘어 다문화 사회로 변했음을 밝혔다. 이로 인한 다문화가정의 아동들이 겪는 어려움은 서로의 문화에 대한 이해부족과 문화차이로 인한 충돌로 이것은 단지 언어의 차이뿐만 아니라 부부관계, 가족문화, 인간관계 나아가 지역문화 속에서 발생할 수 있는 것이다. 그러나 국내에 다문화가정에 관련된 연구들은 국제결혼 당사자에 초점을 맞춰 진행되고 있을 뿐 다문화가정 아동의 문제행동에 대한 연구는 찾아보기 힘들다. 따라서 본 연구는 이러한 문제인식을 바탕으로 국내 다문화가정 아동들의 문제행동에 영향을 미치는 변인이 무엇인지 환경적 특성으로 개인적 특성, 가정적 특성, 또래관계적 특성, 학교관계적 특성이 내저적 요인으로서의 위축, 우울, 불안, 외현적요인으로 비행과 공격성에 어느 정도 영향을 미치는지 부산, 경남지역 다문화가정 아동 중 초등학교에 재학중인 143명을 대상으로 2010.1.1-1.30일 까지 개인, 가정, 또래들과의 관계형성, 학교적응에 따른 관련 속성을 알아보는데 목적을 갖고 연구하였다. 연구 결과, 다문화 가정 아동의 환경적 특성이 내재화 요인의 위축에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 개인적 특성, 가정적 특성, 또래 관계적 특성이 내재화 요인의 위축에 통계적으로 유의한 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 외현화 요인의 공격성에 미치는 영향을 검증한 결과 개인적 특성, 가정적 특성, 또래 관계적 특성, 학교 환경적 특성이 외현화 요인의 비행에 통계적으로 유의한 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 전체적으로 다문화 가정 아동의 환경적 특성이 긍정적 일수록 위축, 우울, 불안, 비행, 성향이 낮아지는 것으로 나타나 개인, 가정, 또래 관계의 긍정적인 기제사용을 위한 환경구성이 중요함을 시사해 주었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate attributes related to individuals, families, relationships with peers and school adjustment in 143 children in multicultural families in Pusan and determine which variables affect children's behavior problems in their domestic multicultural families. The results of this study are as follows: (1) Among the environmental characteristics of children in multicultural families, individual characteristics, homelike characteristics and peer-relational characteristics have a significant negative effect on the shrinkage of internalization factors. (2) Furthermore, individual characteristics, homelike characteristics, peer-relational characteristics and school environmental characteristics also have a significant negative effect on the aggression of externalization factors. In other words, if the environmental characteristics of children in multicultural families are generally positive, the propensities of characteristics such as shrinkage, depression, anxiety and wrongdoing will decrease. Consequently, it is important to create environments that foster the use of positive mechanisms among individuals, families and peer relationships.
