호주의 직업교육체제 분석과 시사점

이 연구의 목적은 호주의 직업교육 체제를 분석하여 우리나라의 직업교육에 주는 시사점을 도출하고 이를 기초로 우리나라의 직업교육의 발전 방향을 제시하기 위한 것이다. 호주의 직업교육체제의 분석을 통해 얻을 수 있는 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 호주 직업교육체제의 특징은 유연성과 다양성으로 요약될 수 있다. 둘째, 직업교육과 노동시장 간의 밀접한 연계가 필요함을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 직무능력중심의 직업교육이 이루어져야 함을 알 수 있다. 넷째, 직업교육이 성공적으로 이루어지기 위해서는 사회적 파트너십이 필요함을 알 수 있다. 다섯째, 직업교육과 자격과의 연계를 중요시 하고 있다는 점을 알 수 있다. 호주의 직업교육체제의 분석 결과를 기초로 하여 우리나라 직업교육의 발전 방향을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직업교육기관이 유연하고 다양하게 운영되어야 한다. 둘째, 직업교육에 대한 국가 개입과 지원이 필요하다. 셋째, 호주의 도제제도와 같은 샌드위치 직업교육 과정 도입의 효과를 적극적으로 검토해야 한다. 넷째, 직업교육기관과 산업체와의 협조체제 구축이 필요하다. 다섯째, 직업교육과 자격과의 연계를 강화해야 한다.
Abstract
This study is to analyze the Australian vocational education system and suggest the directions of development of Korean vocational education on the basis of the finding. The suggestions through the analysis of the Australian vocational education system are as follows. 1. The character of the Australian vocational education system can be summarized in flexibility and diversity. 2. The close relation between vocational education and labour market is needed. 3. The job competence centered vocational education is to be emphasized. 4. The social partnership is needed to make the successful vocational education. 5. The link between vocational education and qualification is important. The directions of development of Korean vocational education on the basis of the analysis of the Australian vocational education system are as follows. 1. The Korean vocational education has to increase flexibility and diversity in operation. 2. The intervention and support of government is needed. 3. The introduction of sandwich vocational course like Australian apprentice system is to be considered positively. 4. The partnership between vocational education institute and enterprise is needed. 5. The link between vocational education and qualification is to be strengthened.
